Monday’s Question: Who hand made this suit and for whom was it made?
Answer: This suit was made by Agnes Scott for her son George Washington Scott when he was a boy. She not only made the suit, she also wove the linen cloth, and it is believed that she spun the flax. This suit can be found displayed, along with Agnes Scott’s spinning wheel and other Agnes Scott family and college history artifacts, in the Betty Pope Scott Noble ’44 College Heritage Center on the second floor of McCain library. Visit during open hours – Mondays: 2 pm – 3 pm, Tuesdays: 12:30 pm – 3 pm, Wednesdays: 8:30 am – 10 am, Thursdays: 3 pm – 5 pm, Fridays: 12 noon – 1 pm, Saturdays: 10 am – 12 noon.
