For a short period in the early 1990s female punk bands led a revolution to end sexism in music and build a generation of women who took charge of their lives. To draw attention to these women, McCain Library created an exhibit near the ground floor elevators and an online LibGuide that highlights resources and articles about this movement.
Be sure to attend Kathleen Hanna’s talk on Friday, October 28th at 2:30pm in the Fireside Lounge. She is considered one of the founders of the Riot Grrrls. She continues to break boundaries and should be a fascinating speaker.
