Sports and Gender: A History of Disparities

We all know about gender disparities in sports. I mean, can we really forget how Serena Williams was picked apart for her behavior during the 2018 US Open Tennis final? Or how her eye-catching black catsuit caused an uproar at the 2018 French Open that prompted the French Tennis Federation President to impose a permanent dress code? Not to mention countless other women who come under fire for how they play while their male counterparts skate scot-free.
