NaNoWriMo at McCain Library


Are you doing NaNoWriMo this November? Are you supposed to be NaNoWriMo-ing right now but instead reading this? Or do you look at the abbreviation “NaNoWriMo” and squint at your screen in confusion?

Well, if you have never heard of NaNoWriMo (the commonly used name for National Novel Writing Month) check out our new display at McCain Library! One of our amazing student assistants worked to construct this display for writers and readers alike! National Novel Writing Month is a commitment many writers make every November. The goal is produce a 50,000 word (often more!) novel between November 1st and November 30th. Many published authors wrote the first drafts of their popular novels while participating in NaNoWriMo! If you want to learn more about this NaNoWriMo, check out the display by the spiral staircase on Floor 1 of McCain Library! Here, you will find McCain Mad Libs, writing prompts, and writing resources that can help you push through your novel this November!
