National Mental Illness Awareness Week

The first full week of October is National Mental Illness Awareness Week, and this year’s topic for discussion is “What People with Mental Illness Want You to Know.” To learn more about mental illness and its impact, visit the National Alliance on Mental Illness website. Here you will find, educational resources, facts and figures about mental illness, and videos from people living with mental illness who hope to educate others on their experiences. Whether you are affected by a mental illness or not, now is a great time to get involved and learn how you can spread awareness.

Follow the Agnes Scott College Wellness Center @ascwellnesscenter, Active Minds @ascactiveminds, and PALS @ascpals to learn more about the efforts within the Agnes Scott College community to end the stigma of mental illness. They will share information throughout the week to spread awareness.
