There are a few days left of Latinx Heritage Month, and McCain Library has just the book to aid your celebrations! Cemetery Boys is the groundbreaking paranormal debut young adult novel by Aiden Thomas that hit the shelves early last month. The library acquired the book as part of the Shuronda Gardner Smith Collection expansion plan. Dr. Rafael Ocasio has reviewed the book in his month’s Smith Collection Book Review which can be found here.
Cemetery Boys follows the journey of Yadriel, a young trans boy who accidentally summons the wrong ghost in his attempt to prove to his family that he is a real brujo. Yadriel must now work with the ghost, Julian, to tie up his loose ends on Earth, but the closer the pair get, the less Yadriel wants Julian to leave.
