Access McCain Library Books from Anywhere

Did you know you can access McCain Library books from anywhere in the world? In Fall 2020, the library began utilizing a service called Controlled Digital Lending (CDL) which allows us to scan and lend physical books as PDFs for a limited amount of time. Although we are not loaning physical Course Reserves this semester, you can still access physical Reserve books through this service. Find more information about requesting Course Reserves here.

If you live on or near campus, please do NOT pull books from the stacks. Place a hold on an item in WorldCat and McCain Library staff will retrieve the item for you. When it is available for checkout, you will receive an email. For detailed instructions on how to place a hold, visit here.

To learn more about accessing books this semester, join library staff on Friday, January 22 at 1 PM for the Finding and Accessing Books Skill Builder workshop. Register in advance here. Feel free to ask questions during the workshop or email accessservices@agnesscott.edu.
